I just picked up some Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers. They're epic. :D

I've been listening to music since I've installed them. The sound quality is superb. It sounds better than anything I've heard before.

For around $100 i'd expect them to be pretty good. But in general, most of the higher end/better 2.1ch speaker setups generally sound the same and are all great.

I like the Harmon Kardon Sounsticks III, they sound great and they look awesome

$150, actually.
They don't sound the same. lol.
I really want a good sound card to really flex this system.
:D

I like both the desk and the speakers, So Phobus did you make the desk? :P

Never tried those speakers but I swear by my Bose Companion's

When I get a desktop tho I will be going all out on some 5.1s

I tried searching for a good sound card and just ended up giving up. I'm no good at hunting down good sound cards >.<

Hope you find one! Those speakers look really nice, btw. ;P

Yes. Yes I did. :P
If you're being sarcastic, it was my first desk that I've made. Making fences/remodeling bathrooms isn't like building a desk. :P

Ew. Bose? Those are garbage.

Yeah, I don't know which soundcard to get. I've heard nice things about ASUS' Xonar line, but I'm not sure of which one to get.
Thanks, btw. ;P
We need to talk more on Steam.

Bose aren't garbage, but theyre not good either. Especially for the price premium you pay just for the name.

People that follow these things (audiophiles i guess) know that bose isn't good and there are tons of better brands and speakers out there that cost less or the same.

Just like beats, you pay for the name and the looks =/ i have two pairs lol but i def. didn't pay full price for them and got them just cuz of how they look. The studios dont sound that bad but def not worth $300.

Shure, Ultimate Ears, Grado, are better and theres tons others that are good. Bose just isn't really one of them and can't really compare.

No... There not.

Got to say its been one of the better speakers I have had. But then again 90% of the time I have headphones on so it really doesn't matter much.

For the price, yes, they are. If you listened to a price-comparable set of good speakers, you'd feel ripped off. Bose only has good marketing.

i got a pair of Klipsch speakers in my Home Theater setup. They are really nice. I got combo of highs, not to much mids, and great lows. I wish I had enough room for desktop speakers, so I would get these or a pair of these. (if I had enough dough. My these or my [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD595-Performance-Premiere-Headphones/dp/B0001FTVE0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1294788537&sr=1-2"]these[/ame] usually suffice for my minor, freelance producing jobs.

yet another quote from the what.cd headphone thread:

Things not to buy at all
Bose anything: You're paying for the brand, not for the product. They would be fantastic - If they were about $100 cheaper, for their headphones. Much better headphones exist at much lower prices.

1. bose are decent, but not worth the monies

2. xonar dx seems to be the popular chosice

All nice equipment. A little pricey, but I wouldn't doubt that they're worth it.

Decent but not for the price? That makes them not worth it.

I don't care what the popular choice is, I want a good choice. lol.

Go read some reviews and pick one that you think is the best =P
