Credit Card Donations Method Cancelled

EdgeGamers will no longer be accepting Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express for regular and prize shipping donations effective immediately. The costs associated with accepting credit cards are greater than the amounts that are brought in, so in order to use the organizations funds in the most effective way, it doesn't make sense to keep the credit card merchant account open.

You should make a note the you can use you Credit or Debit Cards to make a PayPal Account to continue giving donations. alot ppl think that PayPal has to go with using you Bank info, But that is only to Accept Payments/Money, Not to Send Money.

If you donate, try to use the "send money" or "gift" option, as opposed to the "purchase" option. That way, eGO doesn't get charged a Paypal processing fee when it gets the loot.

Of course, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Paypal has just removed their one cool feature...

The way you fund your PayPal account, including using a credit card, won't be effected by this as it is handled on the PayPal site, not ours. So, you'll still be able to add money to your PayPal account using a credit card. We won't be taking credit cards directly anymore.

Just link your bank to paypal, makes a whole LOT of things easier. and if you are smart about it, it's safe.
