driver problem

[The Slayer]

hey guys

well, i got my new PC and it's running great. Now i have a little problem: my drivers of my 5970 sometimes crash. I have a win 7 x64. I tried installing the catalyst driver found here It fails. I can't install them because of a compatibility problem. Any suggestions? Could it be because i dont let it blow my fans at max sometimes, when i'm not gaming?

Have you tried this as well?
That URL is the drivers for a Radeon HD 5970 on Windows 7 x64, not Windows Vista.
