Jail maps ST selection sucks

I've been playing in the jail server for pretty much the whole time ive had CS:S and I have one GIANT complaint,
The ST's

I hate the ST thing because its pretty much ALWAYS the same people chosen. Theres like 7 people that are usually always chosen over anyone else and it sucks

I understand you know the guy that your picking but seriously, pick someone else that you dont know.

When i'm warden, I choose random people, I never have it set for certain people and I think its better that way.

Just giving my Two cents..

EDIT:I've been getting ST much more often now because i've been making friends on the server so it doesnt bother me now :)

The ST system has been threatened to be removed if people didn't start letting pubs and people they don't know get ST. People followed it for about a month and then the hype died down. It's like it always was, if the warden likes you you're going to get ST.

Wow, that seriously sucks. They never give us a chance :'(

Nighthawk-I like ST but its just not fair how they never choose anyone else except a couple people

The last I can remeber of me even getting close to ST was when me and another person both had guns we could drop for ST. He got it. I didn't.

I think it should go.

I FINALLY got ST for the first time in a week yesterday and thats because I was spamming "ST" in chat.
But then I was walking out so I can go do ST stuff and someone shot me. Yippee, that 5 seconds of ST time was SO fun
 
The rules state that one person cannot have ST twice in one map. So that would kinda make it breaking the rules if a person received ST more than once.

ANYWAYS. Talk to the CTs/wardens of the map to try to diverse the STs in a more pub friendly/member way. :)
 
Complaining about special treatment won't earn you special treatment in the Jail server.
However, to the best of my knowledge, favoritism is not allowed when it comes to ST.
But, of course, I heard that nearly 7 months ago, I'm not sure if it's still applied.
 
To be honest i didnt get ST for ages when i started playing the jail server, but like it has been said, get to know the Cts and help even it out,
could a possible plugin menu be added that means you can only select st from the people who have not been given it yet on that map?
I know another jail server also has a selection menu for lr by typing in "!lr" which i thought was a good idea.
But at the end of the day if you dont like not being st... be a ct :)
 
It's favoritism, you can't do anything about it. People will always pick their friends over someone they don't know. With the exception of a random st chooser being made, ST will always be a popularity contest, as most of life is.
 
hmm...i give st's allways first my friend's after that i start giving random ppl's and when you give st someone look he will give you back st also that im doing when i give random ppl's st's
 
Just spam: "WARDEN GIVE ME ST OR I KILL U LOLOLOL" at the beginning of every round. Eventually it'll happen.
 
The thing is... ST will be always a matter of favouritism...

If u wanna get ST's, make lots of friends and be nice.
 
i got st for the first time like yesterday lol its seems to be some of the same ppl getting it alot like the pub people dont get it unless another puber chooses them
 
It's one of those things where "The grass is always greener on the other side".

I don't like to take my STs even if I am given them, because I don't see the point. It makes the game too easy. If I wanted freedom, I'd just play as a CT or explore the map on my own server.

But I remember when I used to want them (That's when I was never getting them). It isn't that much of a big deal, don't let it get to you and just play the game.

Actually, if you recruit people on the jail server into eGO, they'll give you ST since they'll love you for it. So my 20 odd recruits on the jail server go down pretty well :)
