Jail maps ST selection sucks

uh guys... let me share something with you:

Jail is not about fairness, its about role playing.


you will get knifed, you will get freeshot, you will fail to achieve ST or LR, you will have to repeat your orders 2 or 3 times for fellow CTs to listen.

You will have to suffer that and many more horrible things before you get to actually enjoy playing it. On the other hand, experienced wardens and experienced rebells never have to suffer that situations.

So, my conclusion is, if you are going to play jail, be ready to have great experiences but even more sad and pissing off situations.

People give other eGO members ST more, not because there in eGO because there friends!
If you want ST alot more I suggest making friends of getting a friend to be warden.

Just give me st once every map and we'll all be happy... oh... and make sure dark never gets it....

The rules state that one person cannot have ST twice in one map. So that would kinda make it breaking the rules if a person received ST more than once.

9/10 people doesn't care about if they already had it. Even O's.

Don't let pubs make you think that it is favoritism. It is because we are friends not because we are in eGO. The thing is, most pubs don't get ST because they constantly complain and I can't stand when people complain over something as pointless as a ST. Some common things about ST though.

1. Don't give Dark Evolution ST
2. Don't give Dark Evolution ST
3. NEVER GIVE DARK EVOLUTION ST!!!!!
4. Some wardens only give it to those who were freekilled.
5. Spam is never the way to go.
6. It's only for the weak who want a better chance at LR (then you have some that rebel on ST).
7. NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER give Dark Evolution ST.
8. Ric goes AFK so give him ST when he is AFK

I've been playing in the jail server for pretty much the whole time ive had CS:S and I have one GIANT complaint,
The ST's

I hate the ST thing because its pretty much ALWAYS the same people chosen. Theres like 7 people that are usually always chosen over anyone else and it sucks

I understand you know the guy that your picking but seriously, pick someone else that you dont know.

When i'm warden, I choose random people, I never have it set for certain people and I think its better that way.

Just giving my Two cents..

just because people always give me st like 3 rounds in a row does not justify this thread :biggrin: jk jk

It is a lose/lose situation. There is no reasonable, fair way to decide who should get ST. ST is ST, no one is entitled to it. Jail is meant for Ts to rebel or compete for LR, not to run off to take a dip in the pool while their teammates die mercilessly at the hands of trigger happy CTs

Judging from what I read.
I'm mainly based on this as a way to get to know people.
So if the person you know is "WARDEN" you'll have a higher chance of getting picked

To be honest i didnt get ST for ages when i started playing the jail server, but like it has been said, get to know the Cts and help even it out,
could a possible plugin menu be added that means you can only select st from the people who have not been given it yet on that map?
I know another jail server also has a selection menu for lr by typing in "!lr" which i thought was a good idea.
But at the end of the day if you dont like not being st... be a ct

the !lr thing isn't a great idea, a plugin doesn't have imagination.
but the ST plugin would.
even now that i play alot i rarely get st, its not really a big deal, i just rebel : P

ST is over rated. It's really not that fun and usually ends with a player either being in the final two for LR or just rebelling. Learn to play the game without expecting LR once a game.

lol, i find that cts aren't asking first shooting second, they are shooting first asking questions later... and getting away with it because its not as strict anymore
