Rookie Mistake or Technical Problem?

Hi!

So I recently started playing BC2.

Today, I joined a server, played a great round, got 3,000 odd points. But when I exited for a break, it didn't record stats (rank, weapon points, etc).

Then I read somewhere that you have to join ranked servers for stats to count and I somehow recall the server saying OFF next to Ranked at the join screen.

But does unranked servers ignore both personal rank (e.g. Private -> Specialist) AND weapon stuff.. or... only the personal rank?

P.S. I'm loving the game so far. I'm just not loving helicopters. :cursing:

Ever since the last update the rank system has been acting up.
I have leveled up on about 3 weapons several times today and the stupid rank system keeps giving me the award in the server and then takes it after I leave the server even though the round has ended.
Also some times my rank will go back to level 1 and all my weapons and awards aren't unlocked.
I simply restart my game to fix that issue, but not sure about the other issue where it's not recording my stats correctly.

I got a new wireless router last week and it kept on losing the connection to EA until I fixed something on the router settings. So I was wondering if it's a connection error.

It's real frustrating when you unlock a sweet new weapon and you have to work for it again.

I have had this problem before also. It will update one way or another. You just need to either log out and log back in, or just restart BC2. Then it should all be updated.

Yeah since last patch it has been hell, I wonder if they even test the patches BEFORE they releae them.

But that makes sense and EA doesn't do stuff that makes sense!

Yeah most of those issues can be fixed by restarting the game.

You should just be able to re-log so your stuff shows up as unlocked an correct rank again.. works for me..
