i suggest going to www.pandora.com. When you get there enter an artist you like and you will get artists just like them. that is thier best feature other than its free 
BOB is just horrible.
Its actually called diamonds from sierra leone (REMIX), its on the late registration album and for some reason the non remix version was a bonus track on the deluxe edition

Common: He was in the song "Make her say" By cudi along with kanye, he's a lot more intelectual and sometimes more like a poet then a rapper, but he fits the style your talking about, I just started checkin common out so i dont have any really good songs to show yet.
Drake: Came out the same time cudi did, his first album Thank me now came out like around june and got really good ratings, kanye actually produced some of the songs on the album

Lupe Fiasco: I haven't really listened to any of his own albums yet, but he did Touch the sky from late reg with kanye, and did a song with him on one of his GOOD friday's.

Anyone that proudly bumps drake around here is immediately harassed to no end. No one cares how "fly" the song is, he just represents OD lameness. The dude along with lil wayne, t pain and all the others, mostly from the south with a generally similar style need to pack up and call it quits since they straight-up suck. their wack fake fashion rap is part in a series of the downfall of hip hop.. as if it didn't suck enough since 2002/2003 hit.
Besides that, all the other stuff posted here is legit. good songs. Kanye, no matter how hated by some, is an extremely talented artist.. He's one of very few rappers that I can to this day say is an actual 'artist' in some aspects. His latest album was just damn near perfect. he made being dark & bleak throughout an entire album work pretty well.
Kid Cudi has some sick beats and his flow usually makes sense to me. I don't go out of my way to listen to him, but they songs I hear make me upbeat.
wiz is all right. he isn't my style at all, but he ain't bad.
I hear very little new hip hop that I actually like, regardless of the "style". I'll NEVER hear it on the radio, even Hot97 started to fall off.. (Except the late night plays with DJ drama or funkmasterflex).. And as for typical top 50 radio stations? forget it. Haven't listened to them in years. Any new Hip-Hop that I hear is usually from word of mouth, or after some searching around on datpiff.com. Mix-tapes still hold gold.

I love you. Agreed. As you already know, I can't stand lil fake or Drake. I still don't like kid cudi, Kanye is alright in my book. He just annoys me with how cocky he is. Eminem = Greatest Alive. He's real. I mostly listen to old school stuff, back when music meant something.
Arguing who is better than who, or saying how can you listen to that is just wrong. Rappers have different style, I love Cudder because I can connect to his music and feel the lyrics. His flow is unlike anyone elses.
Eminem isn't the greatest alive. Yes he puts out great songs and freestyles but can you connect and feel yourself in his music? I'm not into those songs because of that, don't just listen to the beats and the lyrics matching up to those beats, but understand and learn from the lyrics, if you can't do that than why listen.

He's has two personalities. His crazy side and his serious side. He's more known for his crazy side. He has a lot of songs out there that have a lot of meaning.
Eminem took Drake's over beat and just completely destroyed it in a good way along with beamer benz or bentley, another useless song.

Language is not meant for some.
Being from the South, and going to an relatively "inner city" school (per say) and all I hear is lil wayne, gucci mane, birdman etc. Very few have any original lyrics. It's the same subject matter across the board. I don't like them at all. I hate it even more when they remix songs that were BETTER when they weren't lyrics. Prime example would be No Ceilings by wayne, the album blew.
Very few are very good. T.I is really the only one I like. Other than that, don't even waste your time.
Kanye, on the other hand, is probably one of the top 3 rappers CURRENTLY releasing albums. Although he is cocky, and kind of an ass, his music is amazing. He probably has the best beats IMO. Same stands for Cudi, who should get a lot of credit for his work. His mixtapes are average, but his productions are gold.
I dislike Drake with a passion. :thumbdown: He is up there with wayne and them.
Also, for those who like real rap, I cannot suggest 90s east coast, much better than west coast IMO. Nas, mobb deep, rakim. They are truly the best in terms of flow by far. Do I even need to say it? Illmatic is still the greatest 40 minutes your ears will ever hear.

Agree with all you said, but this stood out the most. A few of them still release music that smashes anything out these days.. Sadly mobb deep fell off when they joined G-unit, but that's whatever.

First rap/hip-hop album I listened to. Completely changed my musical tastes in 40 minutes.
I love rock so much, but I like grunge the most. Modern (2001+) rock sucks so hard. All the songs have some crap lyrics. They all are "my girlfriend broke up with me", or "I wish that this girl would notice me", and last but not least... "I'm a sensitive guy but no one wants to date me. This emo crap is getting old.
My best friend listens to it, and I can't stand it. And I'll be the FIRST one to blast some Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Offspring, Pink Floyd (EVERY song is amazing), Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime, Pearl Jam and OLD Green Day. I love them all, but this new stuff is just irritating.

I never said eminem sucks, im saying he isn't gonna be the best until he stops rapping about his drug problems, Listen to Romans Revenge by nicki minaj, it has em in it. Classic eminem where he is pissed off and everything, This song is awesome, cept the end part where the beat changes IMO
