GunGame is now operational on a test server at: 8.12.18.103:27015

GunGame, running Orange Maps, is a special modification where you are automatically given a weapon, and have to earn a set number of kills with the weapon to get to the next weapon... known as "leveling up".

Give it a try. The server is fully functional, along with all Mani Admin features.

It was a lot of fun, but I'm concerned about what excessive spawn camping could do in that type of game mode. I know if I were Mr. Joe Gamer just happening by, and decided to play on it, I would not be thrilled with the easiness in which you can find yourself completely trapped in spawn. Might be something to think about, with new people coming to the eGO servers all the time...Then again, that's just my view on it, so take it as you like.

Yes Silence, I think on some of the maps people can get behind the other teams spawn and kill them (spawn camping). But I hope people who try gungame don't play it for 3 minutes get discouraged and quit. Play for a couple of rounds and get the drift of playing. When I first got DoD, I didn't like it (I played CS:S). But now I love DoD!

DoD gun game is defiantly worth a shot. I loved gun game on CSS orange maps.

And to be fair, the spawn camping is an Orange Map issue more than it is a GunGame issue. There are matches on Orange where a team can't seriously get out of spawn for 30 minutes.

That's true, and I realize that. One of the main things that bothered me, though, is the fact that, every other respawn or so, the gun wouldn't automatically be active. That can make a spawn camping situation extremely annoying, as there is essentially nothing that can be done, (whereas, in the normal play, you have at least a fighting chance to get the campers.)
