Surround Sound Headsets

Sennheiser hd 595 is what i have, have incrediable sound detail and are soo comfortable it don't even feel them on my head
 
Those are both good headsets, but I suggest wired over wireless. Just simply because I don't like to replace or charge batteries often, and that. :thumbup1:
 
Yeah they both OK headsets, but myself I stop using headsets, I prefer Mic, w/ speakers :)

It's not wireless but the Logitech G35 is, I think, is the same as the wireless G930 but cheaper. The only difference is that, obviously, the G35 is wired. It's $104.99 on Newegg.

I have the Tritton AX PC Pro. Pretty good stuff, just minor complaints. It'll run you about 115$ though.
 
Hmm...I would go with the Logitech Headset because they seem to have better quality items than most other brands. Will probably last longer and have good quality the same.
 
The G930 can be used wired or wireless and has 10hrs battery life.

Problem is that you cant turn them up very loud... bah :(
 
thanks all for your help. I think I am going to go with the logi tech G930. I do not like cords because I have gone through many headsets over the years, plus I dont like being on a leash.

Good choice, I'm in love with mine. Don't forget to bind the G keys to something useful. Even vent if you're grilling :P (yes, it actually works).
 
I have the G930s and absolutely love them. I had some problems initially with the early drivers and my on board usb wasn't putting out enough power to get a clean signal but once those issues were sorted, they are near perfect. Okay, actually the mic isn't the best ever, but for a headset mic it ain't all that bad plus I can walk all over my house carrying a screaming baby and still listen to my music and that's something so great it's hard to truly quantify.

If you go this route, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
 
Sounds like you've already made up your mind, but I'd still like to say this. If you want sound quality - price then look for a pair of headphones not a headset. This is because headsets (mic attached) are marketed towards gamers compared to high quality headsets looking for music industry professionals. Quite frankly, gamers are not as picky about the sound quality as someone who will actually be earning his living through those speakers. Look at brands like Klipsch or Sennheiser, and look for professional lines instead of gamer lines. Dollar per dollar, you're getting better quality.

Well Mr. Tower... I got a last minute headset for you.... I got my Corsair (I'll have it in like 2 weeks :drool: )

The 2 main reasons why I chose the Corsair HS1 are:
- Perfect balance between music / gaming audio +++
- Windows 7 64 bits drivers works (not like the logitech ones) ++

At the end... is all about your favorite brand, I'm a logitech guy (Speakers 5.1, webcam, keyboard, mouse)... but this headphone is just... too good!! I can't wait to test them @.@ xD :glare:

The most recent Drivers for the 930/35 fixed the problems with the 64bit OSs

One of features that I really want added is the ability to disable auto turnoff. Basically if there is no sound coming out of the headset for 10mins it will auto turn off.
