If nearby star Betelgeuse goes supernova we could end up with two suns in the sky.

Dr. Brad Carter of the University of Southern Queensland detailed a scenario in which if Betelgeuse went supernova it would create what would appear to be a second sun in the sky for several weeks, despite it being 1300 light years away.

This reminds me of Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy :D

note(must.get.a.gf.by.then!) :D

No...this is quiet relevant. If we do have two suns, it would effect the gaming times. We need to make a schedule for 24hr Sunlight. :P

I hope this happens it is going to be sooooooo epic! I can be up 24-7 then!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we would need to edit env_sun to have two of them.
JESUS NATURE.
WHY MAKE THINGS DIFFICULT FOR EVERYONE.

That would be really cool, shame the chances for it to happen are probably very low.

Someday I'll get off this rock

Basically that says if it does blow (it may not because it just might be asymmetric) it won't be as drastic as binary stars. No biggy, who needs a brighter daytime anyway! Night skys would however be effected to a noticeable degree, sort of like those nights where the moon is reflecting the suns light at maximum efficiency and its bright enough to see.

Forget the stars, I'm more impressed by the fact that somehow this thread referenced UHF before a Star Wars reference came up.

Darth you can't be up 24/7 because your mom still has a curfew on you. whether or not the sun is up doesn't change your 8 oclock bedtime.
