Earth may soon have 2 suns for awhile

GO TO BED, But mom the sun is still up!, * Don't you get smart with me!, Just because there is light outside you still have to go to bed!*

i love seeing the stars

for the last 10 years ive lived like 20 miles from LA

and smog makes it so that you can only see a handful of stars at night

but now i live like 90 miles away and i can finally see the stars again

if there is two suns i might have to start shooting womprats with a blaster.

(yes i read that there wont be two suns, i just want to say that! it isnt often you get two!)

luke did not shoot womp rats with a blaster. the actual quote is "I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters."

the T-16 is a transorbital airspeeder that used a pneumatic cannon. not a blaster.

Your Lack Of Star Wars Knowledge Disturbs Me.

Betelgeuse doesn't lie within the boundaries of our galaxy, let alone "the solar system"

You do know a solar system is just our group of planets and our sun. That would be pretty obvious since if it did, we would already have the second sun.

lava you realize that i was hassling him over the fact that he put i love the solar system, when we are talking about a star thats a galaxy away. you basically just put what i said into different words

In his defense, in every depiction I've seen the T-16's projectiles look the same as blaster or laser bolts, so blame the artists.

ya to be honest the only thing that changes with star wars weapons is the color of the laser beams. blue red or green.

What galaxy, pray tell, does Betelgeuse lie within, if not our own Milky Way? If you're gonna "hassle" him about that, might as well get your information straight.

lol, everyone gets mad when someone doesn't google before they post.

It looks like that this could happen either tomorrow, or in another million years. No-one actually knows for sure. The reporter wanted to put a 2012 spin on it so he could make his editor happy or something.

Still pretty cool if it would happen in my lifetime.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but Betelguese still has another 10.000 to 100.000 years to live.

It is "soon" if you take for reference the life of a star.
Not so soon if for the life of a human being.

And betelguese is in our galaxy. It doesn't make sense being able to see a star in another galaxy without seeing such galaxy first.
