Computer wont shut down:(

Hey guys, Last night, I shut down my computer, next morning it's still on the "Windows Is shutting down screen", Anybody know the problem?

Well you can force a shut down by simply pressing & holding the power button for 5 secs. You really wont hurt the os's feelings. Besides, if theres any updates that need to be downloaded (just in case), go ahead & download them. If it still doesnt shut down on its own, then let us know. Also please let us know of the operating system version (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7).

Also, in the future, please make sure to post issues like this in the tech help area.

run a Registry scan along with updating your computer, also have you installed anything that may of triggered this event?

You can just use the power/reset switches on your case.. or just cut the power all together. Shouldn't have left it on all night, and it's a problem if it happens continually.

It probably just got jammed up shutting down. I wouldn't worry about it to much. Happens to my work PC from time to time. If it starts happening every time, you might have an issue. Hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, turn it back on if ya wanna use it, open up LoL and enjoy.

you sure u didn't shut down steam? if u can't exit it for some reason go to task manager, click on processes, select steam.exe and press end process then shut down the regular way
