Now Now, Don't run away!

This discussion is merely about your job, what you do for a living. If you don't have a job yet, what do you plan on doing in the future? If you DO have a job, what is it like? What are the pros and cons of the job? Is it dangerous? Anything job related you can discuss here.

Personally I would like to be a State Police Officer when I get out of Highschool. I understand that the job will be dangerous, and you will need to be able to detect suspicious situations and people, find drugs, possibly be able to speak a foreign language, but I'm not really all clear on it, so I'm studying as much as I can about being a State Trooper before I even hit highschool.

Right now I'm a licensed insurance agent, but I'll be damned if I do that for the rest of my days.

Also in college.

I'm an Instructional Technologist in Los Alamos, birthplace of the bomb. It's a long commute to work (2 hours from Albuquerque), but worth it.

I'm hoping to break into the film industry, as I'm an amateur screenwriter, and have had a blast on the few films on which I've worked.

Since graduating from college in 2008 I've worked for a minor league baseball team of the Tampa Bay Rays for 2 years as a marketing assistant running the minor league season and doing the Rays Spring Training. I currently work for a county courthouse in the HR department, and I am back in college to get my degree in CIS. Hopefully work my way into the information security field.

Well...currently i am a student in college and i work in retail primarly as a furniture salesman >.> its semi dangerous..not as bad as it was since we got a new boss under old managment the warehouse was a death trap and i honestly hated being in there more than i had to be >.> other than that when i work in furniture its both a customer service job as well as a labor intensive job when theres alot of sales being the salesman is also the guy that has to load the furniture so yeah the more i sell the more i have to load >.> and i dont even make commission so yeah

But i plan going into the game development feild as an animator OR the movie industry, im also going to be studying computer engineering so i may change to that as my main depending on which i like better

School and wrestling are my full-time "jobs".

I mow lawns for most the year, but all the grass is dead;so no more money till May. I want a real job during the summer though.

Currently in College. Studying Visual Arts, which covers 3D animation, Graphic and web design, some film production story-boarding, rotoscoping, wire removal, special effects, character animation, particle effects, open GL and 3d coding, and a few more things I cant remember. secondary major in computer engineering.

I'd also like to take a stab at acting, as its been something I've been tossing around since highschool.

I'm a line cook. Have been for a couple years. Fun environment for the most part. Finally moved to nights, which I should have done so long ago.

Did the prep job there as well, which unfortunately makes me a target for whenever one of the preps is sick, they tend to ask me to fill in :(

student, wanna be EOD for us army
You actually WANT to be the one who gets called when scouts or patrols find a bomb? My neighbor did that... says it's the freakiest job he's ever done... Respect to you for that lol..

I'm currently a student, planning to major in Electromagnetic Physics and minor in Theoretical.
I work as a Server Administrator on a private game server, a game called Ragnarok Online... and I double as Security for an after hours night club on the weekends.
I also do commercial graphic design for night clubs (Fliers, glorified wording though), and freelance graphics contracting.
My dream job? Being a butler for some rich family.
No, seriously.

I was actually planning to be a Game Programmer, but I figured I wasn't really all that into math, and everyone knows how much math goes into programming, so I think State Police is the job for me.
