While this discussion is relatively civil I really don't think political threads like this belong here. If there's one way to make people mad at each other in a clan it's arguments over politically oriented posts. There’s a time and a place to discuss topics like this but as I said I really don’t think this type of discussion belongs here.

And I believe the facts and school more than media. And what I've learned from history,etc usually smart people get mocked and aren't believed, until at the moment what they said comes true, then everyone is like why didn't we believe. And since it won't really be a threat to us at the time we live, I won't take it to too much consideration, let the future people take care of that xD

dude, we're not arguing,we're just debating. I dont hate noyade just for countering my aruguement strongly. I think its fun and enjoyable talking about ideas that concern the world.
but "christian", what you are saying about a comet that hit the world, thats interesting because i read of a document and there was a place in the u.s that was hit by a really big comet and they were saying that the earth had a very unusual way of healing itself quickly.
But back to the topic, Its true that the world may be getting hotter and car emissions are probably one of the leading causes, but however i find it quite hard to see that humans are solely responisble for this global warming itself. I am really a nature boy by heart. i love camping, skiing and winter lodging in snow. I would hate for all of these things to go and thats why i talk about it. But we should not always consider the worst when we see a fluctuation, and that is what bugs me about most people when they talk about global warming. The people i kno, all they do is scream out a bunch of unbacked up ideas that are completely moronic. Noyade, i like your sense of countering because you see what my theory lacks. Thanks, i appreciate that.

When earth was infant and it was the beginin of the formation of our solar system what is now known to be the asteroid belt wasnt a belt then.. it was all in the center the milky way galaxy and it countinously pounded earth.. its called the heavy bombardment period.. thats where it is believe earth got most of its water since comets are made of ice.. thats why they blow out steam when they get near the sun. And the comet your talking hit the yucutan peninsula and half of its citcumfrence is in the gulf of mexico.. that is belived to be the comet that killed the dinasours. lol

I never said you hated him. Debate is a form of argument and can easily get out of hand. There are likely people here who strongly disagree with your views on the subject and it probably doesn't make them too happy to see "debates" like this. eGO is a gaming clan after all. If something even has the chance of making people mad I don't want to see it. In all honesty a topic about global warming is just as bad as a topic on abortion, the Iraqi war, etc. As I said people are very opinionated on these matters.
Also - if you intend to hold a serious debate here please prove the facts you present. The burden of proving (or disproving) should not be on the person on the other side of the picture. For example, your plane using up as much fuel as you would in a year in a car is put in a horrible context. Here is some information on fuel economy:
"Which means also that, in one hour, the jet racks up 235,584 passenger miles; divided by 3378 gallons that yields 69.74 passenger miles per gallon. A sedan driving down the highway with 4 passengers at 25 miles per gallon gets 100 passenger miles per gallon. According to Greyhound, their "fleet ... achieves 162 passenger miles per gallon of fuel."

Sure – an airplane uses more fuel than you would in a year but it’s also transporting thousands of times the passengers than your car.
