What's Day of defeat?

So mabye its just me but lets face it Day of Defeat isnt any COD;Its clearly not as popular and we have WAY less montage videos lol . It may just be me but how many of your freinds/peers (depending on if you go to school) Acutually play DOD:s? How many Play any of sources games (Counter strike,
TF2 ect...) ? To me the number is sadly none Now either im hanging out with the wrong people lol :biggrin: or I think DOD:s could use some advertising! This thread is mainly for this reason (s).
1. How can we "advertise" DOD:s OR How can we as a community help other poeple notice DOD:s?
2. Will this help Ego as a community (More people playing *more people on servers...*

now...anyhoo...my dad and uncles play...we've all been playin since beta/1.3...its an awesome game that i intend to keep right on playin...sure...might not have amazing graphics or any of that...but best game play i found in an fps...love the fact that you have an epic fail on your hands if there is no teamwork...

Dod is more real than any of the other games, and a lot of players dont like getting killed, sigh!

You gotta be able to accept failure in DoD, you can't rage quit after being dominated. You really have to accept failure if your opposite Blue, Pat, Brain or any of the other abnormals in server. DoD is a man's game, we don't need no stinkin technology just a gun that fires.

What really saddens me is that absolutely none of my friends have ever played a source game, even on the failbox with the exception of l4d2. I don't even know anyone with a computer that has enough juice to even play DoD:s. How sad is that? And yet all of my friends own a failbox. I showed them graphics on mw2 on the pc on 1400x900 res and antiailiasing on 16x and they still aren't impressed.

Day of defeat is to classic rock as the CoD series is to rap. It's hard to hear the best when the worst is pumping the bass at 300 decibels.

Day of defeat is better in every way. CoD has that pseudo realistic brownish gray tint to every texture anyway.
