Okay so I bought this card (which is awesome at gaming but my CPU is bottlenecking it right now) Only issue is that when ever i watch a video(Youtube, anime, movies, w.e blah blah blah) My screen starts to produce artifacts then it freezes my whole computer... Every single time. I've tried different drivers, no drivers and what not. Has anyone ever experienced any issues with a GT 240 1gb DDR3 version, the one with the huge fan/heat sink on it.:cursing::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall::facewall:

Episoco, I also have the same video card but mine likes to crash when playing a game if i have my case door on it, I think your card is running to hot, Seems like our video card has a weak heatsink

Have you seen what your temps are?

really? even though it only happens after i watch several youtube videos/ anime, sometimes even less. I guess I'll go replace the card at the retail store i bought it from.

only when i play games, it usually stays down even if its overclocked when i do nothing. Even with stock clocks, it still crashes when i watch vids. Like the other day when I was just browsing through newegg to check out something. This youtube video that laid dormant in the tab suddenly froze my computer. A youtube player thats not playing...

I agree with Phobus, its probably just a faulty card.

Before you RMA, however, you may want to try and pull out the card and reseat it in the PCI slot or try a different slot (if you have one). make sure to check for dust or anything else that may be in the slot or on the card.

I don't know what else you might've used before, but if you still have AMD drivers installed that would cause problems.
