BAD! (cloverfield)

I watched cloverfield on monday and It was BAD. There was NO story or originality behind it. The monster comes.... THEY RUN.... END. But i got to admit the monster looked sick.

no lol i went in there looking for a monster that ripped heads off, explosion and destruction.

I'm not sure if you guys noticed this in the movie. But did you realize the um... the statue's head was unrealistically small? I mean usually its big enough for people to go inside...

But I have to admit, the girl with bleeding eyes was a cool moment. Other than that, it was ok. I seen worse, plus I'm pretty forgiving on certain movies such as these.

Oh and for the ending, I think they made it that way for a sequel.

I actually like Cloverfield. It was a unique step forward in the film entertainment industry, and the only other movie that was like it in any respect was The Blair Witch Project, which, in my opinion, was horrible.

Also, a lot of people were/are complaining that the camcorder perspective ruined the film (motion sickness, sudden and abrupt ending, etc). If it was taken from a stillcam, it wouldn't be the same movie, and the same people would be complaining about how unrealistic it would be. I liked the camcorder because it took into account the normal citizens view on a crisis.

The trailer looks freaking amazing for this movie ... i will wait till it comes out on DVD as i like watching movies in my house (i get uncomfy in the cinemas lol)

Ya know now that I think about it, it did look pretty small from the trailers (I didn't think it looked good enough to see it.) I read on rottentomatoes.com that it was like a rip off of Koreas The Host. But anyways what did the monster look like?
