Scammed

To be honest I'm a little nervous, about putting this thread up but I feel a kind of duty to do this.

STEAM_0:1:21142760 = (yousef) scammer ID #1 trader
STEAM_0:1:22174234 = (Piff birthday boy) scammer ID # 2 fake middleman

Middleman trade for, Horseless Headless Horseman?s headtaker, Vintage: ye old baker boy, Soldiers stash, Ze Goggles, Larrikin Robin, tryfiblulus tyranus (brain slug), Demo Fro, Towering pillar of hats.(what I lost)

first thank you for taking the time to read this, at the moment about this scam

At 2:00am Saturday pacific standard time I entered a trade server, I accepted a trade that started as a trade for bill's hat but then escalated to a bill's hat and earbuds trade.
After realizing that we were going to need a middle man because we were going to need to use more than one trade to effectively trade we found the (fake) middleman. (Id listed above)
after the trader (id listed above) gave the items to him it was my turn when I gave the items to the middleman they proceeded to leave the server leaving me alone and, scammed out of the items listed above.

now this is not a oh woe is me I got scammed, this is a warning. Don't talk with these people listed above. if you trade a lot or if you have gotten scammed then you know the pain. Don't talk to these people they enjoy causing this pain.

Ideally you should have used a friend as a middleman, someone who you can trust in eGO
for example an O. It's your duty to be careful.

Yea, generally if it looks too good to be true, it is.
I hate middle men, I prefer to slaughter them in the heat of combat!

just a question: you got 8 items there. theres room for 8 in a trade so why did you need a middleman? Oo
another thing is you might want to report them to valve. i dont know if this is true but ive heard ppl saying you could report scammers. maybe someone else on the forums knows about it?

There where more hats involved in the trade those where just the items I lost. Yeah and I know I should have used A eGO to middle the trade, I'm walking away smarter from this.

The best way to handle scammers like these is using Steam support. You have their IDs and you can report to support about shady traders like these guys.
