Tf2 Economics Idea

Hey guys,

I think it would be a great idea if someone out there (specifically in the eGO community) would create something as simple as a spreadsheet listing every item in TF2, and about how much metal each item is worth. This could be updated frequently and would be a source of reliable information for people like me who do not want to get scammed in trading sessions.

Just a thought. I welcome feedback, as well as your hats that you may want to donate to me.

That list is definitely not entirely right. It seems very skewed.

The main problem with items is its based on what the majority of people want. For some reason unusual hats of the same tier are not worth the same. For example, classes like demoman and Soldier that have unusual hats with Sunbeam effect are worth more than other classes with the same effect because those are the most wanted class type hats, so if you have say a spy sunbeams hat and you want a Soldier or demo sunbeams hat you need to add stuff along with your sunbeams spy hat to sweeten the deal as they say. I really despise how out of hand the trading has gotten and how people are paying outrageous amount of money to buy these hats now, valve should really make it so you can craft unusual hats in some way shape or form to put an end to people getting ripped off.

agreed to the crafting. ive been to unusual trading servers and theres pretty much always someone selling his hats for money.
another funny thing is that the rarest effects (like fetti and flies i think) are worth the least. ppl just dont like it so they will pay alot for good looking effects.

I remember someone talking about how they used their stocking stuffer key to get a familier fex with sunbeams and sold it $400, it's insane if you ask me.
