The title explains it all! Put down your favorite band, singer, poem writer, etc! It would also be beneficial if you elaborate why you enjoy this band/person's talents!

My Favorite band would have to be Maroon 5. Their style of music is always pleasantly consistent, it's not really loud, and it has meaning behind it.

Justin Bieber does not count. He is not a real musician.

KANYE WEST.

I've been a huge diehard kanye fan since he was just a producer for jay-z and he did one verse on some son outta blueprint 2. And i was like 6 then or something.

But i still love his music to this very day, his flow, his rhymes, his beats, his samples, his music videos, his ego, his mic stealing moments and his president bashing moments, i love it all. Kanye west is my favorite artist in the world and I wont ever think otherwise :)

I respect your opinions and what not, but I'm sorry, when Kanye West said "I'mma Let you finish, but..." I literally fell on the ground laughing. He's a good comedian, at least.
 
Its an even split between: Pierce the Veil, Bring Me The Horizon, and System of a Down.

He had a drinking problem back then, his mother JUST died like a month or so before the VMA's, which only made it worse. He cried on Leno about it, apologized 100's of times and even called Taylor on live tv to say it to her personally. He even cried about it on the first Jay Leno show.

He even made a song about it on his new album which shows he knows he is an ass and it was wrong to do what he did. that being said, i never heard of taylor before what happened then. Like it or not that boosted her career big time.

also its a really awesome on its own anyway. He may have a big ego, but having a huge ego means having a lotta confidence. Which makes him strive to create amazing music. I mean when 808's came out everyone bashed it claiming it wasnt hip hop and it was horrible and everything. A while after that the whole tswift thing happens. He cries on national television and then goes to hawaii and works on his music for months and months, and doesn't talk to anyone. that confidence made My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He really IS a musical genius, making near perfect beats and spitting amazing rhymes. I'mma let you finish, but Kanye West is the greatest rapper of all time. ;)

I know I've already posted my favorite BAND, but I've gotta say, over all my favorite musician is James Blunt. I LOVE his music, it seems to fit my life so well.
