It's nice to see phone companies taking the initiative to try to spread the message that texting and driving don't go together, however.

I totally agree with this message, texting is a bad addiction and really needs to be enforced, I say if you enter the car your phone text pad goes dead and only works through bluetooth, cmon technology lets do it!

I think technology and cars just needs to take a break. You can have a rearview mirror that allows you to update facebook and read off peoples status updates. Like that won't cause driving problems. I don't think texting and driving is the smartest thing to do but it won't ever stop.

I served as Police Officer for 2 yrs before I went active duty military. Saddest thing is arriving on a seen of a accident and seeing a young child whom has die and later find out the accident was cause of this careless act of either texting or cellphone drama. We can only continue to educate our future generation and today's generation on the danger of texting and driving and even talking on the Cellphones while driving is bad.
Maybe someday it will sink into everyone.

I have to agree with this post. I have been a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 5 years now. It is extremely difficult to arrive on the scene of an accident to find the person to be dead. No matter what the age, it never gets any easier to deal with and overcome. I posted that same video on my Facebook about two weeks ago after I had stumbled upon it. To my surprise, a lot of my friends posted it on theirs and spread the word. The video that Kentucky Ghost is talking about is called "Texting and Driving," I too recommend that you all check this video out. Just a warning though, it is not for the weak of heart.

It's illegal in Michigan now too. I never do it. I drive manual so I have too much fun driving my car but also I have to use both hands so I can't physically do it.

Please guys don't text and drive.

If you don't have hands free devices, DON'T use them while driving PERIOD! that is my opinion. Texting, talking, anything that make you distracted and requires your physical attention! I don't even smoke and drive.

Good video Cuban. It really sucks for innocent people who get hurt like passengers and pedestrians, but really I don't feel all that bad for peoples own stupidity. Like I said I feel horrible for the people who are innocent, but all I know is no one ever told me not to text and drive I just figured it out on my own. Like they said in that video "Would you ever take your eyes off the road for 6 seconds?" The answer is no. I'm 25 and so far I have a perfect driving record not even a speeding ticket because I follow one rule Pay attention to the road. Now I get called all the time when I'm driving and some times when the traffic isn't heavy I'll pick up, but it just seems stupid to look down and text heck I don't even like to look down at my phone and see who is calling most of the time for one reason.. you might be an awesome driver.. but that other guy might be the worst driver ever and theres only one way you're going to find that out.

How so? You can talk handsfree and at least you're looking at the road. Granted you're not at 100% alertness but it's better than not even looking at the road.
