Hello Troops,

I like to take this time to say a few words to everyone. It starts by me saying Thank You EdgeGammers Organization. You Rock!!!!

Now some may ask why I am thanking you guys?
I just got home and I log into the edgegamers website and found out I was recommend for Squad Leaders Award and receive it. Guys some may think ?woo! hoo!? Well I don?t think so guys. Teamwork, leadership, and persistent focus on teamwork I live by those goals throughout my life and I always preach them to my children and all other kids I meet daily.
I wish to share you all a story I wrote awhile back about my time in the military as a Squad Leader.

Believe In Yourself

Some people go through life wondering what they are going to accomplish in their life. Some people want to make it big in the financial department, wealth lots of money. Some people are satisfied with getting married and having kids and having a family life, and some people would like to have it both.
Life deals you with lots of turns with many walls to climb. But if you first believe in yourself you can overcome any turns that life deals. If you set yourself some goals in life you will have something to fight for. Everybody needs goals with a challenge in life. Once you set your Challenge now the first thing you need to accomplish this goal is to believe in yourself. Anytime life deals you something the most important substance you can used to overcome anything in life is first is believe in yourself. When I was growing up my mother always said: ? David you can accomplish anything in life if you believe in yourself.? When I join the military in the late 1981, I felt I could never make it through basic training. But I always kept on thinking what my mother said to me. With them words I was able to make it through basic training. All my 22 years in the military I was able to accomplish many goals. Her words I was able to reenlist many times for the army every time when my contract was up. If you believe in yourself you can accomplish anything in life. Life always deals you a deck of cards. Once you are dealt those cards if you believe in yourself you can overcome anything.
I remember I once I had this young soldier in my platoon. This soldier was sign up to go to Air Assault School, to be train how to jump out helicopter. The training in this school was, not easy by no means. The young soldier was scared and believed she was going to fail. Failing from jump school is a big disappointment for your unit. First thing I new about this soldier was that she was a fighter and would not give up without a fight. The day the soldier was getting ready to attend school. I remember what my family said before I left home for the military and I told this to the young soldier that story. Eights weeks later she graduated with success.

Edgegamers once again thank you for the Squad Leaders Award I will wear this award and all of my awards with great respect. With great pleasure I will proudly represent the Edgegamers Organization.

Thank Guys, and I proudly Salute You All!

Kentucky,

You'd make an amazing motivational speaker.

You absolutely earned the award and we're very glad to have you as a member of the community. You're a good role model for newer members and help out whenever/wherever it is needed. It's very appreciated!

We have an amazing community (with an outstanding BC2 division) that is full of very dedicated gamers all here under the banners of respect, maturity, and fun. Each member contributes a ton to the success of Edgegamers, whether it be on the servers, in Ventrilo, or on the forums.

Glad to have you with us and congrats!

Well deserved! That was a great encouraging post and I hope everyone here reads it and feels empowered like I have.

Although it sucks playing the waiting game on literary agents...

Kentucky, in all honesty. You are a true model of a motivated, always-happy, and all around fantastic member of EdgeGamers. Your constant support of our servers and your ability to take leadership of situations is very valued in here, but some do not have that.

So thank you for being such a great member and even better friend.
