Battle #2 Results:​

Round 1: Axis attack Norway from Denmark on dod_harrington

It's no secret that Axis high command has deemed the capture of Allied northern territories as paramount to their success in Europe. This week, Axis forces rode the currents of the North Sea to the shores of Norway where they postured themselves for an attack on the small town of Harrington. The battle was hard-fought, and only handfuls of men determined the fate of the territory itself. In the end, German forces took advantage of a weak flank defense that proved to be the achilles heel of Allied ground forces. Allied forces fled to neighboring Sweden thereby vacating the territory of Norway and surrendering it to Axis control!

Round 2: Allies attack Italy from North Africa on dod_palermo

News of the Allied defeat in Norway had just reached General Boyle's communications outpost as he was making final preparations for the Allied attack on Palermo. In the early stages of the battle, Axis marksmen prevented any serious penetration into the Axis lines. As the fight continued, however, the Allies began exploiting the lack of heavy automatic weapons defending Axis chokepoints. With deftly swift maneuvers, Allied shock troops blitzed the Axis front in single columns, breaking Axis lines and routing them from the field. German army forces were dislodged from Italy and the Allies gain control of the territory!

Needed my beauty rest

Congratulations to both teams for two tough matches Saturday night! Also a big congrats to tomi, Meg, Lungbuster, and the whole Allied team after I had to bail out of Palermo. I needed my sleep so that I would play the right notes at the right time in tune the next day. My Sunday started at 6:00 in the morning and finished up at 5:30 in the evening. My afternoon concert was at The Broward Center in the smaller theater. Next door in the main hall was the rock band Styx performing with a chamber orchestra. Totally cool. A couple of us went over and said hello to the band. They were very nice and old, like me.
Last but not least a big thanks to ronpaul for stepping up to his rightful position as a commander and forming a winning strategy on Palermo! I hear Ravage was also in on the smash and grab plan. Great job!
