Hey everyone, just wondering if i could get some help on this. Sometimes when i play Dod (after lagging) i get this "Warning: OS page pool memory low" message on the top right of my screen. The message shows in red. Although a lot of the times the game doesn't crash, the few odd times it does and comes up with vortex buffer.... I was wondering what the OS page pool memory is? and how could i get rid of it?

Cheers,

Hello Spray,

I am currently investigating your issue, but I'll need more information.

Operating System, including architecture. ie; WinXP Pro 666bit:
RAM:
Video Card:

Once you reply, I may be able to assist you more.
Thanks!

Edit:
Solution One(WinXP):
  1. Right click on My Computer.
  2. Properties.
  3. Advanced.
  4. Performance Options.
  5. Advanced.
  6. Virtual Memory Change.
  7. Custom Size.
  8. Set initial size to 256 and maximum size to 2048.

Solution Two(Win Vista/7):
Warning: We are messing with the registry. Failure to follow my instructions precisely may lead to corruption. Always remember to back up your PC regularly.
  1. Hit Windows Key + R At the same time, brings up a run windows.
  2. Type in regedit and hit enter. Authorize the UAC to run the "registry editor", if a window comes up.
  3. Navigate to this area: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
  4. Double click on "PagedPoolSize". Hexadecimal is listed first. Change the Value "Data" to one of these below:
Note: You only need to enter EITHER Hexadecimal or Decimal. They both are the same but of a different data type.

Once you are done with either solutions, make sure you reboot your computer to apply the settings.

If you can not do the steps above, I can create a ready-to-run .reg file that'll do it for you.
