How important is server ranking to you when deciding where to play?

I really only play on our servers except for our BC2 servers, there I just sort by ping and find a server with a lot of players.

A better question might be "Does your server ranking affect where you play", as that seems to be the case with some BlackMesa fans

Either way, I don't care for my rank; just connection and server quality.

I prefer to play on the servers that are populated and that play the same type of games that I enjoy, ranking is just for show imo and doesnt really matter to me much.

I just care that the game is set up so that members or supporters of servers don't get "special" gaming rights (i.e. in TF2 some servers allow you to create unlimited sentries for a premium membership), and that there are people online.

Whatever server has a good amount of people in it, server rank doesnt matter to me, even though the populated ones are usually the high ranked ones.
