Counter Strike in Anaglyph 3D

I took a look at this and I was like "WOW!". I don't have it yet because I haven't got any glasses hanging around, might buy a pair sometime.

An Anaglyph iZ3D Driver is available for downloading free of charge. It is designed for anaglyph systems, the oldest and still one of the most wide-spread 3D formats. The observer is looking through red/cyan glasses at the monitor where the left image is displayed in red and the right image is displayed in cyan. Slight variations of this technology are called ColorCode, Anachrome etc. The 3D signal source provides a composite image with the left image rendered in one tint and the right image rendered in another tint, with some optional intermediary color transformations.

The driver runs on a trial I believe, but certain functions are trial and certain are FULLY free. One of these fully free ones is the anaglyph one. You can use those superbowl glasses you got back in february if you still have them.
Also for you paranoid ones:

iZ3D driver is not considered as cheat by VAC and has not any problems with this system.
PunkBuster, however, may, in a certain circumstances, considered as a cheat by PunkBuster. We
are advise you to disable the driver before playing in a game using PB.

Go to a 3d movie. Keep the glasses instead of recycling them.

just enable 3D in you nVidia Control Panel.
Been like that for years.
I played Counter Strike in 3D with page flipping glasses in 1999.
those were the days.

3D anaglyph is the red/blue version of 3D.
might give you a headache after a while.. but the more you do it, the more you get used to it.
It does cut your fps by half though.
and not all games have the 3D crosshair (CSS doesn't have one)..
so you may have to aim between the two crosshairs.

but it is cool.
I remember ducking to avoid getting hit in the head by chandaliers all the time in morrowind.. and playing GTA in 3D is the BOMBASTIC of BOMBs..

Glasses can be purchased many places...
if you pay more than $2 for a pair, you are getting robbed (cardboard)
nVidia sells a pack fairly cheap, those are the ones I bought, on nVidia's site.
thAt way several people coud enjoy the view.. the further back you are from the monitor, the better it gwet.. AND the deeper the transition.
each person's settings for 3D woud be a litlte different.. because 1/8 inch difference in the separation of the 2 eyes is a WORLD of difference.

The ones at the movie's use green color glasses. Which give a better quality of 3d instead of the regular red and blue.
