Wierd and outlandish tanks from WWII

go live with your stupid fantasy tanks, no one has mentioned a better tank here.

Best tanks:

German: Panther heavy tank

American: sherman/pershing

British: firefly

Russian: T-34 medium

and i dont care bout your opinion on this :)

the best tank made during ww2 was obviously the centurion
centurion-mk-i-01.jpg
the first proper main battle tank, and really set the trend in tank development in the future (look at the Abrams, Challenger and leapard) arrived too late to see combat though, even though 6 were in germany at the close.

i agree with the panther, was easily the best overall german tank.
pershing was decent too, almost as good as the panther, sherman though.... not even close.
the t34/85 was very cost effective, but the is2 was probably "better"
the firefly was only good because of the gun (17 pounder), the comet was a better tank.

The Centurion was the primary British main battle tank of the post-World War II period.

Found this puppy on google. It was a Vickers utility tractor sold to Belgium and "aquired" by the Germans.

I can't find an image of it but here's a little info about what would have been the British Ice Aircraft Carrier.

Winston wanted to have a way to get air support to merchant and supply ships in the North Atlantic inorder to counter the Uboats that the Germans had in place all around the area. The U Boats were devastating to the British and American supply ships so he needed to act fast. One man, name doesn't ring a bell, came up with the idea of an aircraft carrier made of ice. With 40ft thick ice walls, the ship was pretty much unsinkable. And than to keep the ice from melting, they would have refrigeration in the ship against the walls. Winston order 100 of these ships to be made, but the workers told him that it would take them atleast 2 years to build only one. The war was coming to an end so he cancelled the whole project.

But it would have been awesome to see a giant ice berg with planes flying off of it.

And yes I know it's not a tank, but I thought it was weird and cool to go along with this WWII theme.

"Manufacture of the Centurion began in January 1945" so i would say that this tank is "from" ww2, just because it was an amazing post war tank it doesnt mean it cant be put in this bracket, along with things like the is7, or even is3.
just you wait for the brits in WoT, tier 10 centurion ftw.

also, for those that dont know what the comet is. this did see combat against the germans.

Lol if we expand to ships and planes I could probably dig up a few more strange things...like the series of Japanese aircraft carrier submarines.

I've never seen a jeep carry a flame thrower, nor a half track
German had the half track with a flamethrower..COH and Flamethrowers are cool but are very dangerous because snipers aimed for them a lot.
