Hello, im JunK.
its been awhile since i've been a regular in CSS, but in case you don't know me or of me, im the eGO neighbourhood scout pro (self professed anyway heh) and i would like to share with you all something thats been on my mind about this wonderful weapon lately.

mostly, this wonderful weapon actually isn't too wonderful. i have a very long love/hate relationship with this gun, and i'll never stop using it, but i just wanted to show you all some pictures of standing accuracy with this weapon.

honestly it feels as tho there was some hidden nerf to the scouts accuracy, because im near certain it was never so bad.
the standing accuracy with the scout is very overrated. almost all rifles in this game, and possibly a pistol, is actually more accurate than this 'sniper rifle' while standing.

the first picture is showing you, zoomed in, the spread of this weapon at a short distance. the second picture, directly related, is showing you the zoomed out distance of the first spread.
the third picture is showing you, zoomed in, the spread of this weapon at a long distance. the fourth picture, directly related, is showing you the zoomed out distance of the second spread.

keep in mind all shots were taken double zoomed crosshair on the same spot without moving. also keep in mind its accuracy is mostly 'made up for' with its mobility and other aspects of this weapon. it has its advantages and disadvantages, i just found its disadvantages were vastly underrated and i'd make this post for education.

thanks =)

The upside with the scout is that, unlike most other weapons, retains what accuracy is has through movement, to an extent. You can be moving but still keep a pretty good shot.

Back in the day? Junk by far. Haha.....I'm hoping he'll be a little rusty today.

it will never be determined - our forces combined is clear enough to destroy everything including the force. our forces opposed is clear enough to create a rip in the universe large and powerful enough for existence itself to collapse!

and yes you retain accuracy while not full out running, but skating. (you keep moving slightly after you release movement buttons) where as an awp does not, but an awp is 100% accurate regardless of stand/crouch...you just can't be moving

JunK is also good with grenades, If I recall, He won 2nd Place in my competition...
And then donated the Prize back to eGO to give away to further competitions/prizes

I say play scoutzknivez....thats how I got good, but yeah, always choose awp, ak m4 over scout

Eh, scout is good if you can headshot easily, thats why I crouch all the time when I use it to make it more accurate, but then again you can get the same with an AK47.. I don't know about the M4, I know the M4 is a dink then a body shot and then a kill from far away.

Scout is by far my favorite gun. I remeber back in the day when we had weapon lessons Junk taught us all how to scout :P Now I own it up in west hall :D:D

Don't use bulk ammo. :P
I guess I'll reiterate...
The scout is meant to be a lightweight, compact sniper rifle. The whole Scout concept is to be able to move quickly from one position to another. Its true beauty lies in the shooter's ability to strafe and shoot as well as the occasional crouched shot. Offhand is very hit or miss but with enough practice you'll find where to hold.

Too complex. Just use the flashlight.
