The hugely anticipated and massively disappointing game APB: All Points Bulletin is being rereleased soon as All Points Bulletin Reloaded under its new ownership GamersFirst.
They are revamping many aspects about the game including balancing issues and making it F2P (free to play).

Theres lots of info you can find about other changes and such, but most importantly closed beta will be starting shortly. I myself got a key for closed beta application and hopefully i'll be chosen as a tester. How about you all? have you gotten a key, will you be interested in playing its rerelease counter part?

If im not mistaken there was an eGO clan for enforcer side is that correct? Maybe, especially being free to play, with its new release and if its stable enough etc eGO could think about making it another division!

i for one cannot wait for its release. i've always had this game high on my wish list, but i didn't play it the first time around due to its inherent bugs/problems/hackers etc. hopefully with new ownership thinks will be stable and balanced, making for an excellent original game

I'm a bit skepitical on how it will turn out.

GamersFirst is not a company, but a trademarked name used by K2 Network. K2's buisness model is to aquire North American distribution rights for semi-popular Asian online games and release them as F2P. This is pretty much the first game where K2 will be responsible for more than just translations and technical matinance.

Do want immediately. I signed up for the newsletter which should be sending out keys for the Closed Beta, so fingers crossed.

Its sad that the original ended so quickly. I wasn't planning on buying it because of the online fee, but I still liked the whole idea of the game.

keys already going out. waiting for them to approve me so i can play!!!!!!!RAGE

I've signed up, been wanting to play this since it was originally released, just didn't have the computer to run it at the time

correction, you got your key that allows you to APPLY for a chance to play the closed beta =P
most are saying application acceptions (so you can play closed beta) should be sent out next week

That was one of the most intensive applications just to have a chance to be in a beta I've seen. That said, it's understandable, I'm sure game companies are tired of people playing betas and being all like "WTH this game sucks it's all buggy, they should have waited before they released it"

But yeah, hopefully I make it in.

OK! I just check the main website and the forums and here are some details about the beta testing

Well, without trying to break an NDA and get my butt chewed, I never had a problem with the driving in the original release of APB, and I'm still driving good now.

I think the driving in APB was a personal taste thing IMHO.

Okay no more questions!

*goes back to San Paro*

The matchmaking system is still broken and thus makes the game unplayable. I have yet to play a match where I stood even the smallest amount of chance at winning.
