help please

I turned on my completed desktop, it turned on it all seemed good, so i put in windows 7 but then my monitor started switching over and over from HDMI to Digital to Analog, over and over again and it wouldnt stop. (My pc was hooked up thru HDMI) so what i did was i turned it off by holding the power button, i then turned off from the PSU and then i took out the HDMI and put in a different hookup from my graphics card to my monitor, now my computer wont turn on:thumbdown:... wtf? -___________________________________- help please.

Did you turn your powersupply switch back on?

May sound stupid, but i forget that all the time.

yea i just double check...didnt turn on

i would start By checking that you have all the power connectors connected to your GFX card first.

then check to see if your gfx card is seated right.

then check to make sure your 8 pin connector is plugged in from you PS to your MB (my board required 2 8 pin power connectors..

if that don't work start tearing it apart and start building it again and make sure everything is seated correctly.

I had this problem with the screen searching for inputs. My problem was that I hadn't connected the 8pin connector from my PSU to my GPU. If you have a modular PSU search for some cables that fit your GPU female power plug.

The female plug is most likely at the far end (most inwards, not near the rear of the case) of the GPU. It should fix your problem. Good luck

so it turns on now, except it doesnt boot.....the fans spin, lights are on, but my monitor keeps going to stand by? help me lol

Do you have another GPU you can test with to start narrowing down the problem?

I would try reseting my cmos (button or jumper on the mobo).
