I can connect to the EA server (its doing this in both in bfbc2 and crysis 2 demo) and join the server normaly. now within 2-5 min. of playing i get randomly disconnected. getting kicked from the servers (logs me out of the ea server) so i have to re-login through my account.

Recently bought a new router ~ D-Link 300 N Wireless Router

Also... when in the crysis 2 main menu my NAT Type says moderate. where it use to be open (in mw2)

Any possible fixes?

To change your NAT Type from "moderate" to "open", please follow the instructions below.

OPEN - Allowing full data transmission, normally happens when you open ports.
MODERATE - Allowing some data transmission, but having a hard time establishing connection.
STRICT - Allowing no data transmission, not establishing any type of connection.

You say you bought a new router, are there any ports you need to open to allow data?
All routers are different. While you may not have had to open ports on your last one, this router's Rules might be a little more strict, making you have to open ports. Modern routers normally have UPnP,(Universal Plug And Play) which opens the ports required for the program and closes the ports once it's done running. This could also be a culprit, but we'll worry about that if the following doesn't work.

What ports should I open for multiplayer if I'm having EA connection issues?

- 18390 TCP Outgoing
- 18395 TCP Outgoing
- 18395 UDP Outgoing
- 13505 TCP Outgoing
- 80 TCP Outgoing

Try opening those ports and see if your connection issue and NAT Type is resolved. This information was posted by Official EA Staff.

Bob -

I bought exactly the same router. Had exactly the same problem.

You need to access your router using your web browser (type 192.168.0.1 into browser) and change some settings. That will fix the problem.

In Advanced -> Firewall Settings:

1) Disable media sharing.
2) Turn off uPnP.
3) Set UDP and TCP Endpoint Filtering to Endpoint Independent

Happy gaming.

Keep in mind as you do this, Endpoint Independent is less secure, meaning that your NAT is easier to penetrate.
I would recommended to forward the ports first to see if that helps you, no one wants to become an open target.
