Yay cant wait im building a new gaming PC - Specs

Ok guys im gonna be building a new gameing PC and here is what it will be.

Case: In Win Griffin Yellow mid tower case.

CPU: AMD Anthlon II X2 250 Processor

Sound card: Dont need one.

Hard drive: Western Digital - Caviar GP 500GB Internal Hard Drive

DVD/CD player: Normall cheap 25 dollar CD player to install games n stuff

MOTHERBOARD: Asus - Micro ATX 2600MHz ( Socket AM3 )

Operating System: Windows 7 home premium

RAM: Corsair 4GB DDR3 Desktop memory

ZOMG only 400 all together. Cant wait to get it finished in the next 2 weeks.

That's all very good! Only thing I would change is the processor :P Phenom II all the way!

I Wish. I Cant afford anything more expensive. Its only 65 dollars at frys. Cant beat that. lol ill just over clock it to get the amount of speed i need to play CS:S again. I cant wait to get back into that Division. Minecraft is really getting boring for me.
 
The onboard audio on that mobo should be fine.

Don't overlook the power supply, it could ruin your entire system if you don't go for a quality one.
 
er, also depending on where you are newegg might have cheaper prices (60 for that processor with free shipping)
 
If someone could tell me what kind of power supply for the setup above or how much watts i should get please tell me. I am not sure which one to get

Are you planning on upgrading anything later on such as the graphics card?
 
I would also not bother spending the $14 on the sound card.

The sound integrated on the motherboard will probably be of similar quality.
 
looks like the gpu planned is onboard, unless I am mistaken. Doesn't seem like they want anything to intensive, should get playable (albeit barely) frames from the onboard.

Thinking along those terms, might want to start looking now for a discrete gpu, could help if you wanted to play any games made in the last five years/current games.
 
Huh? lol ive seen video's of people playing MW2 and other games with the setup i have. This is just my first PC game build from scratch.

What? I'm pretty sure any video you've seen has a dedicated video card to it, it's pretty important if your actually planning to play games. Without it, your spending money to not be able to actually play anything. There are plenty of budget cards... integrated is never the way to go.

I can always go with 2 Graphics cards if needed. it gives the option to do that.

And also for the other guys question he was playing MW2 on 1240x720. Not max but still HD. :)
 
MW2 is dx9 and not vary intensive. Newer games will require something better.

Here is a quick build that is still fairly cheap:

Better processor that will also hopefully unlock to quad core. 5670 graphics card which will give you access to dx11 and is obviously more powerful than onboard.

other than the total crap motherboard, that is a pretty decent build
 
Where is the source on this one coming from? Also, please post a good alternative?

Oh and I left out a power supply...a good 400w one 80 plus (bronze) can be had for about $45.

It's not intensive, it's just super bloated. Newer games will run better. lawl.

It's a decent build, but on that motherboard, I wouldn't risk unlocking cores on that power delivery set up. Although I do not see a powersupply? o.O

Coming from the fact that pretty much all of MSI's 4+1 3/2 transistor boards are complete garbage, and prone to failure.

It is a perfectly fine board marred by a sub-par power delivery system.

you can look there for good alternatives to your suggestion.
