So, I've been trying to get the hang of IG for a little while now and its a lot harder than i thought. I'm so use to playing Space Marines that when I use IG I feel like I'm fighting with paper. It seems that they really rely on the turrets that the Guardsmen squads can build for some extra firepower. So now what I do at start is build a guardsmen squad on top of the one you start with, move to midfield and pretty much fortify. Build heavy cover and a couple turrets and wait till i can afford tier 2 with ogryns and kasrkin squads.
Was wondering if anyone else has any strats to share? and what you thought of mine.
Also i think sentinels are worthless unless you know your going to have to deal with suppression.
