A bit ago, i posted a PC build thread. Now I am wondering whether or not to wait to build it. With Thunderbolt being announced by Intel, it should be on new mobos in a couple months to a year. I'm just wondering if all ye tech pros think it's worth the wait, or if I should just go ahead and build it now so I can play all the new c00l games.

Thoughts?

Not worth the wait just yet. I don't think there are any Thunderbolt devices even announced, so it wouldn't really be worth the wait.

1. I doubt thunderbolt will catch on with USB3 already more popular (and not tied to intel tech)

2. just build it now, sandy bridge is back on the market, so that would be a good option

In the tech world, this is always that "next best thing" that is about to be released....

I wouldn't jump on the bandwagon at first anyways, because the first generations are usually always the trial runs. Something might be wrong or some critical, small errors at first -- so I never buy anything first gen.

I'd say wait it off and just watch and read the tech world reviews before sinking your teeth into something like that.
