Tears in Rain (A must see tf2 video)

Actually Sonata, the quality of TF2 videos is in no way an indicator as to how good the creator's computer is. The video recording tool in TF2 takes a screenshot of every single individual frame and then ties them all in to one video file along with the audio stream. AKA, a computer that normally could barely run TF2 at 10 FPS on low settings can actually make flawless 1080p HD Videos with full graphics settings and at a perfect 60 FPS. And it will only take half a calendar year. Just a random interesting fact :)

Fixed that for you ;)

Obviously I know a computer that can't run TF2 at that graphic quality is what's stopping you, my question was more like "what's stopping you from getting a computer than can run TF2 like that."

Money, at the moment. I will be upgrading my rig this year.
Also, sorry for the obvious question, I'm sorry I didn't google that.
Now, a less obvious question:

In this video (And in most frag videos) players seem to have a different view of their weapons. For example, you actually see the scout hand holding the scattergun. That is not my case (I don't see the scout hand) and I barely see the soldier hand when holding the rocket launcher.
There used to be a command for this in old CS 1.3 and HL1, called cl_bobcycle, but in TF2 it just seems to give some parkinson's disease to the soldier.
Does anyone know how to do this?

In Multiplayer Advanced you can change your FOV to show more. This is how people see the character's hands in-game. Also, the video is really good. And like Kevin said, once you do the jumps a few times, you get the hang of it and don't have to, 'process', how to do said jump.

My Field of View is at 90 and the problem remains.

Field of View is in Options -> Video -> Advanced.

To change the Viewmodel, like you want, go to Options -> Multiplayer -> Advanced and mess around with the Viewmodel FOV slider. It'll take some messing with to get how you want it, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

viewmodel_fov is the command you're looking for ;)

for the weapons that I DO have viewmodels enabled, I believe I use something around 100

That as well for increasing the viewmodels more than the game allows.

If you don't have the Console enabled you'll want to hit Options -> Keyboard -> Advanced and 'checkmark' Enable Developer Console. Then just hit the ~ key and type that command in there.

Disclaimer: The above is just my assumption that even still today, what like 5+ years after first release, people still don't know about some things. Don't take offense, I'm just making sure everything is covered :D
