Well I have found a video that works and is really great too!
Check it out and see if it works for you!

The thread title is the exact opposite of what this thread is about...

So..... i've played TF2 on Mac (before steam for mac was released), Linux and windowz... just showin my skillz....

Also I do have a config file if anyone wants it. It's a lot easier to use than watching that video :D

I used to run on a crappy computer, so the config file i have turns everything unneeded off :D

More like

How to get better FPS:
Buy a radeon 6870
Plug it in
Install the software that came with it
Bluescreen
Realize something is wrong after your computer crashed down one every 5 minutes
Get a new power supply
Realize that it wasn't the problem, get a new cooling system.
In the end, the new card just won't stop crashing your computer
Install your old gfx card
Follow video instructions
???
Profit
'

...;)

The 6900s are slower when they run single card, they are designed for crossfire. Single card 6870 has been proved better than 6970, check some reviews P:
Also, if you bluescreen because of a GPU you've probably installed ati drivers on a sapphire card P:

I wasn't going to comment on this thread, but this statement is entirely false. The 6950 is faster than the 6870 in all apples-to-apples single and dual card tests. In fact, the 5850 and 5870 are also faster than the 6850/70 cards respectively.

If you have Sapphire AMD card it is completely fine to run AMD drivers -- in fact, you should always run the latest drivers direct from AMD. Right now 11.4 preview is where it's at. If adding a new gpu gives you constant blue screens after properly removing all of your old drivers and reinstalling you should RMA the card and get a new one.

Here is a good 6950/6970 review for you:
