So i was in vent today and i was talking with a few ppl and one of them started playing music over went!! which was GREAT!!! i was in donner with a few other guys and it got me bumping!! and thinking WHAT IF!!! what if we got a eGO online radio!!! its actually pretty easy ppl could connect through it using real player or winamp ( win amp is more popular because the application for broadcasting and server setup comes with it) I have experience with winamp and SHOUTCAST (www.shoutcast.com) i have done it in the past when i was hanging around with the Frenchy's crew back in the day it was and still is a big hit. we used to get many many listeners through their website and on Mirc AKA IRC!! well if we decided to do this NOT only would it be for entertainment it can be a source of INFORMATION for eGO as well, think about it, when you play a game and want to add more fun to it some music, some entertainment what better then an eGO radio? with the Radio moderators/ DJ's u know and play with!! u could do song requests SPECIAL GUEST Appearances LOL do i hear JohnT hahahaha well its just an idea and i have experience with it. anybody can host the server!!! gets a little tricky if u have a router but no big deal!! let me know what u guys think!! i have 40gb of free place for music LOL oohhh and if some of you council members have questions about it feel free to PM ME!!

Definitely sounds like a cool idea, while i'm running around shooting people i can hear whats up with news and/or music with eGO.
Personally I like the idea, tho I'm rather confused how it all would work out, but hell if it works and works well I won't complain!

I have taken a Step Forward after its 4:20 am central time here and im still up. i set up a test server radio for ppl to try it out there is a play list of czech songs and i dont think u guys will under stand it but it should keep shuffling so go here http://24.1.125.52:666/index.html then click on listen, then click open and ur default media player will opena nd should play it, Works with Winamp, real player, nero player. compatible with more players. took ema bout 2 hours screwing around with my router so it accepts incoming streams of ppl trying to connect, at the end i put my computer in the DMZ zone that means its bypassing the router, this is the best and easiest way for a person to setting up a server rather then messing with port forwarding and ect. let me know what u think

I'd contact one of the council members about this first. With the ™ business you could be doing something illegal using eGO's name. Not sure, but just ask first.

many servers have a built in radio that they have set up. You tyoe "radio" and then a list of artist and songs come up. To stop radio you type "stop"
BUTTTT before you go adding to EGO better have it cleared thru the godfather "JOHN T" AND we can not make it standard we would have to leave it as an option for those that dont want to listen

Lets be in touch. I would personally like to have this. However, not everyone has winamp, or a .pls player and I personally find some 3rd party audio programs annoying.
If this could be streaming for windows only there are no problems, also a server plugin could be created. Also keep in mind about laws which may inhibit us from being able to stream music due to royalties.

Some forget that with eGO being a trademarked entity, it is a little different than a gaming community on a tiny server run by kids.....it is administered and co-owned by a lawyer (JohnT) and eGO exists as an entity in law and subject to regulations, laws and penalties you haven't dreamed of.
For instance, if copyrighted music is played on "eGO Radio" (or even Ventrilo), the RIAA can not only fine the holders of the eGO trademark (serious bucks), but also shut down eGO itself as a gaming internet presence.
Be very careful what you do in the name of the clan and clear it with council before you do anything.
...and even before you announce the idea on the forum, talk to council first and keep it to yourself until they make a ruling.
Once something is defined and placed under the precepts of law, things get complicated.
