The Chain of Command and You.

I wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder about the chain of command in eGO and what you should do when you come across an issue.

If you need a kick on a server, try to find an eG or eGO member first (either through Ventrilo or Steam) and ask them to come to your server to take care of the issue. Be sure to let them know what server, the name of the person, and what they did.

If you need a ban, find an eGO member that is available and have them come into the server to ban the offending player. If there is a serious issue, inform a member of leadership.

If you have an issue that must be handled by a member of leadership, ALWAYS go to an advisor first (even if the issue must be handled by upper leadership) and they will help you or seek the help you need.

Hopefully from this point on we can remember the chain of command and not escalate issues straight to the stop of the chain. Duality and the DLs don't need to be getting PMs on Ventrilo to warn/kick/ban someone on the servers when there are ample G's, O's, and Advisors around.

e's are recruits. They are learning the ways of eGO and getting to know everyone within the clan. e?s are held to higher standards than regular pubs on our servers. Although admin is not given at this point, they are watched closely to see who is capable of being an admin.


=(eG)=

eG's are probationary admins with limited admin ability. These members have read and signed off on our rules and admin regulations and are full members of the clan.


=(eGO)=

eGO's are masters of mature gaming. These members know how to respond to almost all situations or how to contact the right people if they don?t. They have the admin tools to handle all situations and help teach others the way to act and admin.


=(eGO)= Advisor

Advisors are experienced clan members, essential to keeping eGO running. They are the first level of clan leadership and are the GO-TO people in the event of a problem. They report to their Division Leaders.

=(eGO)= Division Leader

Division Leaders are the highest level of leadership for each division. They are wise, trusted members who?s opinions help shape policy within eGO. They report directly to the Council.

Thanks for the reminder, it's good to have a reminder now and then.
eG's and EGO's once you was promoted to these levels you accepted the duties and responsibility that comes with the promotion. If you feel you unable to handle these responsibility that comes with promotion please request to step aside and let others to pick up the task and roll with it. There is no dishonor requesting to step down.

Understand I mean no disrespect to my fellow members. This is just some advice.

With that said, I want it also said that I am most often always available if any of you need my assistance with something.

Both Plug and I, our Advisors, and especially Duality take on duties to further the growth and sustainability of the BC2 division and edgegamers as a whole. It is difficult for us to to do the things we need to do if the chain of command is not followed and we are oft interrupted with simple requests that can be handled by many others who are readily available.

All Slaz is really saying here is before you PM an Advisor, DL or Council with your request, stop and think; "is it possible for a G or an O to handle this?" Thats what you G's and O's are out there for -- To admin the servers and assist those who don't have the admin capabilities you have earned and we entrust you with.

Troops, I am normally around either in vent or Steam, if you haven't added me "KentuckyGhost."
If anyone needs assistants feel free to seek me out. Also if any my fellow eG's are page and they in middle of something to busy, feel free to page me, I am welling to help you out.

Troops, bottom line is we are a Unit, a team, a Band of Brothers. We all work together for the better good of our Unit. Relax and think, if anyone has any question we are here, Your fellow members (eG's) like myself is here for you to assist.

I agree with the chain of command rule. The military follows strict chain of command procedures and if you go over your supervisor's head and jump the chain, you will get your butt chewed.

However, I remember when I was a new =e= myself and only knowing a handful of players on ventrilo. When the time came for needing swift admin attention, I was unable to distinguish who was an eG or an eGO. I remember once changing to every channel asking the same question: "who here is an eG? Anyone? eGO?"

I always follow this so long as I am able. If I ask in vent for help with an issue and no one wants to be bothered with it then I go to the next person and so on. Though sometimes I will ask slaz or Leftenent to handle stuff for me simply because they happen to be the only ones on at the time. Though now that I am an eG, there will be less need for that. I will say though and I am not going to mention names but a few days ago, I needed a hand in HC Rush early in the am and there were at least half a dozen people on that could have helped but chose not to. Some refused to reply, some said they couldn't get the server to show up for them, and some said "just fill out ban requests" well as the problem could have been resolved at that point and the server was kinda starting to get out of control, I did not want to send a ton of ban requests when members that could have helped and followed the Warn~Kick~Ban procedure chose not to so I Logged out of the Game and OUT of Vent.

I'm going to bump this because I think I need to clarify something. My last posts were a very bad attempt at trolling.

Add me on steam (you all should have to since all my friends were removed before I got my account reinstated) and you'll always have access to an admin should you need a kick or ban in any (yes, any) eGO servers. I own every FPS game we support. Don't hesitate to ask me.

I must agree with Mr. Slaz!! I should agree more stuff to this

- LOG IN VENT! (The easiest way to get your questions asked)
- ASK ADMINS WITH EXPERIENCE (Gingertonic, Cuban, Kerak, Vertago, Ginganinja (if you make him talk I'll give your casino cash!), Nible (who got more experience than the OLD NIBLE!!), Lt. Towerladder (he's always nice and give your some clear advices :cursing: ), so mostly of this is part of point 1 (GET ON VENT)
- USE THE DROPBOX!!! Is a great way to get your answers if... the e > eG > eGO > Advisor doesn't work or they don't have the answers DROPBOX!!!
