The game is more balanced than it has ever been. No heroes distinctly stick out as largely overpowered or underpowered. Even the most powerful are relatively easy to compete against.

Akali and Evelynn are far from overpowered. Evelynn has had many nerfs since her fotm status, and Akali is a squishy burst character amongst many many tanky dps characters. Both character's main form of protection is eliminated by 400 gold spent by your tank.
