WAT THE HELL. (dead space 2 chp. 13)

[Goz]

i just got dead space 2 and i've been pretty hooked on it. i got to chapter 13 and at the bottom floor where there's a huge circular door, i heard there's supposed to be a hacking panel and a brute. the brute appears, but there's no hacking panel? there's just a empty square where it should be. the door back up the stairs is locked so im just trapped on that bottom floor where i can't do anything. i've restarted checkpoints millions of times and nothing. i've heard other people get this glitch too. any help please?

Did you buy the game? Those kinds of issues are usually because of the copy being pirated.

Have you tried saving the game, quitting it all the way to the desktop, then reopening it to the save game file?
