BFBC2:Vietnam on Sale for $8.97

Erm. This might end up being a stupid question.

But if I buy this and download it off the EA site above, it'll still be on the Steam engine right?

If you've bought BC2 through steam, you need to get vietnam on steam in order to play it. Same thing goes for the eastore.

Thats not correct, the only thing that cannot be done is buying Vietnam on steam when you didnt buy BC2 on steam. Other than that it will work.
 
If you buy Vietnam through steam your BC2 must be bought through steam.

If you buy Vietnam at the EA store or retail it will work no matter where you got BC2.

At least I think that's right.
 
Maybe I'll just wait until it goes on sale on Steam then, since no one knows for certain. I have too many games I still haven't played anyway.

EDIT: Unless someone can tell me for sure if the next BC2 major event will take place in Vietnam, then it will be worth the risk :)

Just bought it since it was on special, it's really not that bad...wish our server was hardcore though
