Troops,
I sure everyone has seen the pictures of the tragedy in Japan. My wife and I have close friends over their. We been in touch with them and they are all ok.
Last night I sat down and wrote this which I want to share with you guys. Our friends parents in Japan are still uncountable. If you find it in your heart please pray for this country.
Troops enjoy life, in a blink it can be all gone.
Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come
During my Military career, I had to live in South Korea for about three and half years. I was in the Army at the time and you go wherever they send you. This was my job and this what I sign up for. I was a young troop and first time assign overseas during my tour I was so nervous when I was walking the streets of South Korea. This country is always on the brink of fear; North Korea is always trying to have a reason for war.
When I tour the cities, I notice most of the citizens never are smiling. They always look like they are mad. I could never understand why they felt like this. My wife was from this country and I ask her why they act this way. She said that most people felt like life is short and they can?t go back to what they had in the past. They enjoy every day-by-day and do the best of what they have now. I as an American never had to live this way. Koreans sometimes fights with families. They always say sorry to them, even if they did nothing wrong. We as Americans don?t understand how it feels to live with rockets always pointing at their country.
After spending time South Korea, I learned a lot from this country. These people are very proud. They go through life knowing at one point they can be at war at a blink of an eye. After spending the time learning the Korean Culture, I began to understand what this country had went through. They believe today are the last day to live and your acting is going to be different and you will enjoy everyday. Love and enjoy your family, enjoy the time you have.
