I think most people don't like bubble gum pop. I don't doubt the kid has got talent, but the content of his songs and just the genre of music is not for me. I mean his number one haters are kids my age, who prefer hip-hop. Plus, have you ever met his fans? Jesus. I can't stand them. Every other sentence is Justin Bieber or Glee.

He's got more talent at live performing than the Black Eyed Peas, I'll give him that.

The fact is, almost everything is edited these days. Instruments are computerized, everything is just computerized effects and singing over a base beat, which is also automated.

Did the Beatles do that? AC/DC? Depeche Mode? Even MJ? Stevie Wonder?

MJ was singing at JBs age, but he was in the Jackson 5, where people played instruments and had to use their actual voices.

I'm not saying JB doesn't have talent, I'm saying it's nothing compared to the bands and singers of the past.

I agree totally... There wasnt auto tune back in the days which made you sound like a superstar on CD. But when you perform live you sound like a cat being skinned alive.

I had been hearing so many funny and negative remarks about Rebecca Black and some video, and Slazenger just showed me it today. It was honestly the weirdest yet funniest music video/song I have ever heard, and the Internet memes that go with it are just hilarious.

it's because people that think the video is bad show it to their friends, then their friends show other friends. its an endless cycle.
 
This person should totally use more autotune, Perhaps she have more people to like her.

But I'd rather listen to Vic Mignogna.

I can't say much for the song, the lyrical content is just terrible, and her voice is just too nasally on most of the lyrics; I can't stand it. (I personally think the producers used autotune for no reason, considering the song is primarily monotone.)

The countless parodies, memes, remixes and so forth are pretty hilarious.
