EdgeGamers and Minecraft

Have you ever wondered why people seem so happy to receive a gift of coal when they are in a certain Ventrilo channel? Have you been curious about all the shouts of, "Creeper!"? Wonder no more.

Those kinds of reactions are due to a phenomenon that is sweeping our community that goes by the name, Minecraft.

There you'll find a simple registration and download process that will have you quickly connecting to the eGO server located at mine.edgegamers.org.

I am so addicted to Minecrack it's not even funny. I have 10 personal worlds going on with different themes, play on the eGO server and have a private server of my own for my family, some friends and myself. Awesome game for the price!!! Your imagination is about the only limiting factor. I could use some help with my private server though on setting up mods, etc. if anyone is in the know and would like to help. If I start it with the default minecraft server it starts fine and everyone can connect. If I try to launch it with the run.bet I created with craftbukkit mods it starts up fine and I can give it commands through the command window, but if I (or anyone else) tries to connect to it through minecraft it always says can't connect, connection timed out. Any ideas?

Unfortuanately, Minecraft lags way too much for me on SMP. I don't know if this is due to my computer, or with the current bugs on MC, but I can't play with you guys.

Maybe in the future something will be fixed, and I can join you all in the epicness. <3

For those having lag issues have you guys tried unlocking more memory for minecraft via a bat file? This helped for me with having also two server on my network one of which has 5 worlds loaded on it for a stargate like world with off world gates(Working on farming mats for Atlantis now).

Clearly you can change the amount of memory you wish to unlock I just personally choose 1024 for both servers and my client and they all seem to run ok side by side by side with no more major lag spikes.

Sorry for the double post I couldn't find a way to edit my quick reply from before but Vipers_Venom I might be able to help you. Have you forwarded the port needed everywhere? (router, windows firewall, software firewall?) And for the mods we can setup a time to jump in vent together if you like, either eGO vent or my nationvoice vent, and I can try giving you a hand with them. I have my own minecraft server I run and also I started writing plugins for bukkit last week.
