I'm sure that many of you are fans of Star Wars, or at least like it, and enjoy being able to live out your gaming experiences in the Star Wars universe. I know I am and thought that you might like to know this:

Edgegamers is actively considering supporting the new MMORPG from Bioware, Star Wars: The Old Republic. In an effort to gauge the interest of the community and players for this game, we have gone ahead and set up two guilds for The Old Reublic.

So, if you're interested in playing the game with eGO, go ahead and join one of the guilds linked below. So, now you must choose:

Edge Gamer's Republic Guild

Edge Gamer's Empire Guild

If you haven't heard about The Old Repbulic or don't really know what it's about, get your head out of that hole and watch this trailer. Oh, and just FYI, it's so epic you're going to want to watch it in full screen.

Both, but will be starting with the Empire first.

How do I go about joining if I'm going to have a character on each side?

EDIT: got it, thanks Jedi.

Just bear in mind, for prelaunch guild participation, you can only belong to one guild per account.

After launch, though, you can throw alts around guilds.

Straight from the guild FAQ:

How many guilds can I apply to and join?

You can join one guild per each Star Wars: The Old Republic website account. You can only apply to one guild at a time with your account, but you may change your current application to another guild or leave your current guild at any time and apply to another. This limit only applies to the Pre-Launch Guild Program. In the live game, you will be able to join multiple guilds. Any of the characters you create can join other guilds.

Okay So I tried to start a TOR guild a while back, I made a guild and everything. Transfering all my guild members to this one (including me). Sith FTW!

There is no peace, there is only passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain Power. Through power I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. THe force shall set me free

There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

Republic FTW!!! :)

I am interested, I have not decided what way the coin is going to fall....

I think it would be a cool mechanic if they had the ability for a jedi to slowly turn into an evil character given certain actions...

either way I would be one of the jedi/sith classes (i know there are two) most likely a consular or a Inquisitor.

though the others classes look interesting as well....... I just dont know yet... takes more research... but deff interested

If my old pc can run it, i will think about getting it. But i would totally join the empire. >:D

I'm just saying

This is going to be awesome

Ever since my rage of SWG, I have been waiting for this game with sweaty palms. I'm glad to see we will be involved with this game, and I plan on letting the game consume my soul.

I give it freely.

I agree I raged pretty badly also because I had a epic set up in SWG before they changed it to classes . . . the only part thats good about it now is space QQ:crying:

My name in the guild is Moffix, so know that Moffix is xosniper.

by the way did I mention I can't wait for this game to come out?

<freaks outs and force falls out window>

I'll play this game while wishing for the day someone makes another sandbox Star Wars MMO that will wash away the pain that SOE put me through.
