Star Wars: The Old Republic

Been looking forward to this game for some time now. I can't wait till it is released. Did not know eGO was supporting this game. Hell I might come back to eGO just for this game :D.
 
Projected date is some time in Q2. (within the next three months)

Although, lucasarts loves to release stuff in the month of may.
 
I have been following the development of this game since 2009 and can say I am so excited that it is finally here and that eGO will be supporting it. I am most likely going into the republic, what my original intention was, to be a Jedi Consular. Those guys are frieking amazing.

For those of you who have doubts on the game, saying it will be the same as SWG or other MMOs, I encourage you to dig a little deeper on the subject, as the gameplay is absolutely spectacular, and everything and everyone is affected by your actions, Not line in games where you throw a forcefield at an enemy and they stay at the same location.
 
No one is saying it will be like SWG, we were saying that we were very disappointed in SWG and really hope this game is great. :)

I know this game will be great, because Bioware knows how to make games.

Pretty much; though I fault SOE moreso than the game itself. I do, however, wish a 2nd SWG would be made and run by someone other than SOE...and funcom. Oh well I can always dream. ;)

I've been following TOR since it was rumored back in '07 and I had the privilege of beta testing and anything that I've said so far is based from that experience, limited as it might have been.

But to repeat what I have said before, I'll end up playing the game despite my reservations and concerns simply b/c it is Star Wars. :)
 
oh yeah I got to watch this trailer on my big screen TV during E3 2010 :) Republic FTW does anyone else think that it would be much cooler to be a soldier in that nice armor rather then a jedi? OH YEAH
 
Wow, 82 people and not only is the game not out but there hasn't even been a release date announced. Things seem good.
 
assuming the ppl signed up actually buy the game and play regularly I can see this becoming another division much like wow. Can't wait!!!

You designer folk better start coming up with a Star Wars division tag for the forum ;) lol

yea ive been waiting for this game a while now, and that 5 min trailer was better than all 3 of the most recent star wars movies..
 
I really am interested in this, but I'll give it a month or 2 to see how well it does before making the purchase. DCUO was a lesson well learned...

This is not SOE, this is a better company. DCUO really hurt my feelings. TOR will give me hope in MMO's again. I can sense it's awesomeness.


Plus its got frickin lightsabers man!!!!

I hope you're right man, I so hope you're right. So far I like what I see :drool: but we can only see if it's as good as it seems on launch date :thumbup:
 
sith...im a paragon player so i gotta change it for this game if i do play it, tera really has my attention with the gameplay but i feel it will be shallow in content and story.

Theres a video that says even if you go jedi you could get dark side points ie. become a dark jedi. If you go sith you could get light side points ie. your told to kill someone but instead you help fake their death instead. However i think if i can recall the video stated you can't change faction while you start your playthrough with a character. Hopefully this helps a little :laugh:

I'm really looking forward to it but I'll have to wait for when people pay for and make private servers...just cant afford stuff monthly
