Hello Troops,
Even though the our economy is bad and a lot of folks are out of work, even homes, and lots of others things in their life. We are all still human and for myself I always try my best to help others in need if I can.
Last night my wife and I was sitting around watching TV about the stuff in Japan. My wife and I was decide to donate but we couldn't decide amount. I told this story of a day in Korea and afterwards hearing this from me there wasn't decision, we donated all we could to help.
Give more than you plan to
When I lived I Korea for a while, I used to walk around everywhere in the cities. This was the best way to get around in the big city. I remember one day I was out walking around and doing some shopping. I saw this old man on the street corner. He looks to be a poor man and he was begging for some money. He had this little can in his hand and everyone that passes by ignore it. It was the winter season over in Korea at this time. There was a lot of snow and the temperature was very cold that day. I observe the man for minute and I realized he was not wearing any gloves on his hands. I was wearing my nice warm gloves that I bought two days ago. I though about it and I decided to give him my gloves instead of money.
I walk up to the man and told him to take my gloves. Of course, the man didn?t understand English he was a Korean. The man looks at my suggestion of offering my gloves and once he took them he smile from check to check. In return he says a lot to me while I was standing there. But I didn?t understand Korean either but I understood the look on his face. Giving this man my gloves that day I felt a warm feeling come over me. I may spend a lot of money that day, but on this day to this man those gloves were gold.
