so i could be getting sued? O.o

So I scanned the forum and I wasn't sure if I could actually post something like this in here, but here it goes.

Yes, I could be getting sued, why? For 465 bucks that someone said I owed them.

I'm positive that they would lose regardless, because nothing that they have in writing, what I owe, anything. I lived at this girls house for a few weeks, while i was searching for a full time job and living there rent free (well practically). I took care of her dogs (15? Siberian huskies). She then added up that, and I agreed to it (to make her feel secure with it, but nothing in writing, again). She was going to charge me with fixing a wall that my friends dog tore into. (all because I didnt actually come home at a certain time.) It wasn't my dog, it was his, so I feel like I don't owe it. She was then going to charge me for gas (down to every gallon) which she was going to charge me 150 bucks for 5 days of work a week, which i only worked 3.

Then he sends my girlfriend a message saying that i owed it. Then sends me a message saying he will manipulate the situation and make it sound like it was my dog etc etc etc. He never got charged gas money or rent or anything, and he worked 30 hours per week, while I was working and going through drivers ed, only making 400 a month. I paid what i thought i owed her nothing more. and i got him saying hes manipulative and attacking my girlfriend copied and pasted into a word document for good measure.

I would like your guys' opinions on this whole situation. It would help quite a lot.

But I'm a bit confused on the story. Are you asking a question about whether you can call a guy a manipulative man for attacking your girlfriend or about the whole story?

no no no. If he truly would be able to manipulate the story to get what he wants, in front of a judge.

Opinion:

You need legal council, not co-gamer council. I highly recommend speaking to an attorney if you find out you are in fact getting sued.

Iron, you should go to The Judge. But seriously, I don't think much could be done. I doubt this case would even go through.

This would end up going to small claims court..which does not require a lawyer.

It's VERY much like "judge judy". Both parties appear and state their case.

There is nothing in writing, so that really hurts their case. But...they can still take you to court, all it cost them is the filing fee (which differs by state).

Go google "small claims court" for your state and read about it.
