win7 x64 update fail

hey guys

I keep getting error: 737D with update: security update for SQL server 2005 service pack 3. I tried to reinstall it, reboot, everything. Even the windows help thingy. It keeps failling; any suggest to fix it?

it's with the important section so i'd like to have it. Also, every time i turn my pc off, it "installs" the update. But it just fails, next time i shut it off, again...

Hello Slayer.

This error seems to bother people who use Windows Vista. Are you sure you are using Windows 7?

I have repeatedly tried to to do an update on SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3
KB970892 and I receive error message # 737D. Can anyone tell me what this
update is and how I can install it?

We are sorry, but no future updates will be issued for Windows Vista users in regards to this error. It is not an important update and should not be installed unless you run a SQL server. yeh. It's legit and it's windows 7 professional. All my software is legit. I hate pirates.

Windows 7 Professional does not require this update.

The security issues it discusses are already handled in Windows 7 Home Premium and beyond.

The reason it fails is because it tries to find a version of a file, but it can not. The version of the file you have is greater then what it tries to install, inducing a failure.

A fix to this will be distributed on Microsoft's Patch Tuesday sometime later this month or the beginning of next month.
