RADEON HD5750 Problems. Freezing, sound loop, BSOD

Okay so I purchased this card a few days ago, and EVER SINCE I've had massive problems. I purchased a 600watt power supply just to suffice this card, and the drivers have caused me nothing but trouble. read on please.

. I've tried several different versions of drivers, updated my audio drivers, and cleaned my registry and entire computer of any remnants of Graphics cards drivers installed previously. No avail. Currently the ATI audio drivers are disabled, but that clearly doesn't help anything.


Today the Blue screen of death occurred while I was playing stalker-clear sky. up until then it would freeze IN AND OUT of games, with very minimal, if any computer usage, sometimes with the sound looping.


I feel that I've tried everything, I've read countless forum articles on this issue with no success, and tried many things other than listed.

Reset the video card in the PCIe slot. Also try another 6 pin PCIe connector from your PSU. If you don't have another one, take it out and put it back in to make sure it's plugged in properly.
 
I have a ATI Radeon HD 5000 series card too and its not working good at all... feels like they have failed that series :P

Just put the card in and out, hoping it was in a tad off or something. I tried moving to another 6 pin as well, hoping it works.

600W is quite a bit much to power a 5750, but we can rule out that's not the problem at least (unless it's bad).

  1. Have you tried using the stock drivers that came with the card (if any)?
  2. What type of method are you using to connect to your monitor?
  3. Have you tried using a different port other than what you're currently using?
  4. Does your computer seem to be hotter after you installed the graphics card or PSU?
  5. Did you install/update your audio drivers for Realtek or ATI?

I did install my drivers from realtek and ATI,

I still have the original installation CD yes, initially tried, but pretty much since I got the card the problems occurred so I tried different drivers.


..The monitor cable is connected to the card via an adapter, that came with an old card.. since the original connector wouldn't fit onto the card. Potential problem?


And I currently only have 1 PCI port, if that's what you meant. :/


And as for my computer, I believe it's running normally besides these crashes. they can occur without very much usage

Just tried all other options and finally reinstalled windows fresh. Hoping this works, if there are no other ideas and this fails I'll have to get a new card. :(
